Tests Of Aging

There are tests of aging you can do at home to see where you are in relative terms on the aging scale. The first is subjective. How old do you look? People guess me at around thirty five. I get compliments almost daily that I don't even look old enough to be a Doctor. That's a nice compliment , considering I am fifty. Being slim and trim makes a difference too. Obesity comes with age, if you let it, obesity is not inevitable, quite the contrary, you can maintan ideal weight for more than a century. It's your choice! Second, is a balance test. Stand on the foot opposite to your handedness. If you are right handed stand on your left foot. Now time how long you can balance like that on one foot With Your Eyes Closed! Old people fall over in a few seconds, young people can balance like this for thirty seconds or longer. I can go thirty seconds to a minute easily. If you topple in ten seconds, you're getting old. The Third Test is skin elasticity. Pinch the skin on the back of your hand, with your other hand, for ten seconds, let the skin go and see how long it takes for the pinched skin to go completely flat. More than one second and you are getting old. Youthful skin bounces back in half a second. A fourth test of aging is how much gray hair you have. If you have a full head of gray hair, you are getting old. I have surprisingly little gray hair and I compare my brother and my cousin to me as they are both within a year of my age and they are both completely gray now. I have even met people younger than me who have more gray hair than I do. The Fifth test is the ruler drop test. Take a ruler and have someone hold it above your thumb and index finger and see how many inches it takes for you to catch it. Reaction times slow with age, so compare your results with some young peoples. If you are catching it past the twelve inch mark, you are getting old. The thesis of my book is we have tremendous control over our rate of aging and the deleterious effects it brings. We can slow our rate of aging dramatically and avoid the losses aging can bring. Start today and live a lot longer and healthier! You'll love every minute of it!

Stop Aging

You may ask the question, at some point in your life, "How do I stop aging?" Then again, you may not and you might be content to age as fast as you are today and never think another thought about it. Most people never learn that you can actually control your rate of aging. Here's how: By knowing the correct amount of calories to eat each day, you can slow your rate of aging by ten, twenty, forty, or even sixty percent! Isn't that amazing! These effects were first quantified by Dr. Clive McCay of Cornell University, who was quite controversial in his approach and unabashed in his promotion of his theories. He new it worked. He had the data. He did the animal studies. He thought the world would drop to it's knees and hail him as a god for bringing this technology to society. Clive overlooked one thing though: Most people can't even put down a brownie, let alone count and control the number of calories they eat each day. A few of us can though, and I have discovered it is really just a skill, and like all skills, anyone can learn to do it. For me this is the advantage. Clive didn't know about change technologies. He just thought if he told people loud enough and long enough to eat right, they would finally get it. They don't.
Within a change has to be the knowledge of how to achieve that change and that is what my book is all about. Buy it today and get started. Wouldn't you like to slow your rate of aging by fifty or sixty percent? If not, ask yourself why not? Maybe something else is bothering you. I cover that in my book too. If you read and apply the technologies I describe in my book, you can't go wrong. I guarantee it!

Cat Stories and Blind Cannibals

My favorite animal is cats. During my twenty two years of veterinary practice, so far, I have spent sixteen of those years just seeing cats. Sounds wonderful, doesn't it? It is. Except maybe for someone who doesn't like cats. If you don't like cats, then you don't know them very well or there is something terribly wrong with you. I have seen the biggest of toughest men turn into marshmellows when they are with their kitty. I have seen the deepest of sobs when a feline friend is lost too. We love our cats. They become the best of friends and the most loyal companions in our lives. It's the unconditional love we get from them that is so wonderful too. I have never had a cat criticize me about anything. My clothes, my hair that day, nothing is ever wrong with you for your kitty. Happiness can be learned from a cat too. My cat Bunny sits on the furniture the same way a person does, on his back, with his legs pointing forward. He is such a character and full of happiness. He lounges around looking as happy as happy can be. No cares, no worries, just living in the moment and loving life. We could all learn a great deal about happiness from our animals. I have had the priviledge of seeing animals from a unique vantage point. As a veterinarian and physician, I studied both animals and people at the medical level. Guess what? They are exactly the same! Animals are our distant cousins and we are closely related. Knowing this upsets me though because I see the harm and abuse we pour on animals everyday. Clients often asked me if declawing a cat was cruel. I answered yes and added that most everything we do to animals is cruel. Spaying and neutering is cruel too. How would you like your reproductive organs removed? Or how would you like to be eaten for lunch? This is what we do to animals everyday, and on a scale that makes the holocaust of World War Two seem to be happening every few minutes for them. I read the book The Naked Ape when I was in high school. It gave a fascinating perspective on us as relatives to the apes. We are their relatives and now I think we should see ourselves in another description. I would call us Blind Cannibals. We eat our relatives and we don't even see that this is wrong. A few do and they are called vegetarians. The new breed of veterinarians are vegetarian veterinarians. When I entered the veterinary industry some thirty years ago the issue was wether or not veterinarians should hunt. Time moves us forward in our comcerns. At least the vegetarian veterinarians are leading the forefront in this new paradigm in thinking.

9 Lives

Do cats really have nine lives? Well no, they only have one. The nine lives idea is an old wives tale that relates to the hardiness of the feline species. Cats are tough. In veterinary college, the axiom for a cat's bones healing was that if you could get the two ends of the broken bone into the same room, the bone would heal. That's amazing healing! It was true too. The bone repairs I did on cats all worked out well. Dogs were a different story. They could suffer from a non-union, which is a real problem when trying to fix a fracture. If the two ends of a broken bone won't heal together, you have a useless limb on your hands. More complex procedures then come into play, like compression bone plating. This procedure puts a metal plate along side the bone that crosses the fracture and literally compresses the bone together so the two ends will heal. It was fascinating to watch the speed of recovery from this type of surgery. I remember a golden retriever that we fixed a broken tibia on who walked out of the hospital two days later on that broken leg. I was impressed. Cats get fractures of all types. I saw jaw fractures, mostly of the mandibular symphysis, leg fractures, pelvic fractures, and fractures of any bone they had. Most were repairable. Some were not. A particular cat had a fracture of it's pelvis and was abandoned at our Cat Hospital by the owner because they didn't want to pay the cost of the repairs. One of our technicians, Hope Reilly, adopted this cat and named him Lucky. It was Hope's husband, Mike Reilly, who named him Lucky because he was "Lucky To Be Alive". My years of feline specialty practice was exceptionally rewarding and even though cats don't have nine lives, they sure make the most of the one they do have.

Education Reform

Sarah Palin is truly the best choice John McCain could have made for a presidential running mate. The thing I like best about her is that for once, she is something other than another lying lawyer, who carries on lawyer politics in washington as usual. Sarah Palin is a journalist and has a television on air background that makes her comfortable in the media. She fights for justice in the right way, which is by exposing corruption and illegal acts, something the lying lawyers usually cover up, and she makes the law what it should be, the guidelines for good behavior in our society. I admit that I too had never heard of Sarah Palin before, after all, Alaska is a little remote from the rest of our country, but everything I learn about her makes me like her more.
With Barack Obama too, he has very little experience in leadership, and if he is going to do so much good in washington, why hasn't he done all that good already? He is already in Washington, as a senator, just like Hillary Clinton. What have these two lying layers been doing for the past years? Not much, is the answer. My personal opionion is that lawyers are the scum of the earth. They have this reputation for good reason. They earned it! So I applaude John McCains choice for Vice President, and I'm thrilled to have Sarah Palin on the ticket! The education reform they will bring to Washington is that right means right and not some new lie like Bill Clinton dished out at every turn, justifying his lies by asking, "What is your definition of is?", nice Lie Bill, but that's right, you're a lawyer. The real education reform I am looking for is the day the public learns of my life extension technologies. That we can live for 150 years and that the diseases of our day are just diseases of lifestyle, which are easily changed. This would be true education reform. My goal is for everyone to have a copy of my book in their hands, so they have the knowledge to live a long, healthy, and prosperous life. My best wishes go out to you.

Super Models Make Good Role Models

If there is a living example of the benefits of the CRON diet, it is the super models. From Brooke shields to Kathy Ireland, these are people who chose to live a calorie restricted lifestyle and reap the benefits. What amazes me is how they look exactly the same after twenty to thirty years, when other people turn grey, get fat, and look like different people after the same time passes. I have had the same experience with my contemporaries. I have friends who where born in the same year as me, 1958, that look like my grand parents, with full heads of grey hair, big bellies, and obvious signs of disease. If they had chosen a different path, the path of calorie correct eating, they would look like they did when they where in their twenties. High school reunions are the ultimate arena for seeing the rates of aging. At the twentieth and thirtieth reunions, you could tell who was aging rapidly and who was holding on to their youth. Some friends I didn't even recognize until they started talking to me. Others, looked untouched by time, though they were very few to be found. So I guess that's why they call models "Models", because they model the behaviors the rest of us should be following. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes these past thirty years, I never would have believed it! Buy my book and get started! You too can be Super and be the example of healthiness for everyone around you!

The New Centenarians

The new centenarians are a body of people who already expect to live beyond the century mark. This group is no different from the rest of us except that they know the human lifespan potential. They also know you have complete control over how long you live. Repeated data show we are built to last 150 to possibly even 180 years. The limiting belief is that somehow eating right is impossible. As I show in my book, it is actually very easy! Knowledge is power. For those in the know, great possibilities await. For those who don't yet know, they need to learn that the speed of learning is the only real competitive advantage in this information age.
Retained youth, slim and trim bodies, and a disease free lifestyle awaits those who are ready for the taking. My mission is to spread this knowledge to everyone. I was lucky in that I learned of this technology when I was a college student at Cornell. Not everyone gets to go to Cornell, so I guess I was priviledged in that respect. It is amazing that a little knowhow can make a difference between living half a life or a rich long full life. I guess it's the same with wealth. The rich simply know how to make more money than do the working poor. Take the opportunity now to grab the gold ring. Reach out, expand your possibilities, and live to your full human lifespan potential!

Sexy Six Pack Abs

A sexy six pack is in the abdominal muscles of all of us. If you can't see it, it's because there is a layer of fat covering up those muscles. When you eat a calorie correct diet, excess fat leaves your body for good and your natural physique shines through. We are built strong. Even our regular daily activities keep us toned and fit. Walking, lifting, bending, and any moving around uses muscle strength. You don't have to overdo it either. I found that just working at my daily job as a veterinarian for twenty two years kept me fit. I did eat right during those years too. Diet is the most powerful tool for our health. If you only eat right, that is quality foods at a calorie correct dose every day, then you will stay free from disease and illness for a century or longer. It sounds too good to be true, but it is. The problem is, we have so few examples of healthy living people, that they usually stand out as oddities. Our "standards" of health actually run in the diseased zones of overweight and obesity. Morbid Obesity is becoming more common and it is recognized as a state of disease. The truth is, all stages of overweight and obesity are states of disease. The medical standards have simply been relaxed. Just like the size of airplane seats which have been widened recently to accomodate generally fatter passengers. Think of the fuel savings for aircraft if everyone weighed forty pounds less! That would save eight thousand pounds on every average flight of two hundred passengers in a plane. That is how much the jet fuel weighs for an average flight!
We need to rise up to meet new standards of healthiness in America. Those standards use to be there. The have disappeared in the face of super sized meals and greater tolerance of obesity.
I look forward to the days when this all changes.

Save A Life

Save a life. It could be your own! So many people die so young these days. The problem is our level of expectation is too low. We think a person dying at fifty eight or sixty five is within the realm of normal. In fact, that's less than half a life! A story was on the news tonight about one of their producers dying at age 53. Leroy Sievers had colon cancer and went fast because of it. There was no mention of his obesity though and no one spoke of how he could have prevented this cancer by eating right and staying at or below his ideal weight. Colon cancer is common in obese people and it occurs frequently with a high fat diet. There was no mention of that fact on the news.
Unfortunately, we live in a misinformation age. What we know is probably something between wrong and inadequate. Common sense is just the tidal flow of misinformation. I did once hear Andy Rooney of 60 Minutes say that a famous newsman died because he smoked, and it was stupid to smoke and his life was lost needlessly. He was talking about Harry Reasoner. Peter Jennings also died of cancer from smoking and he went fast. He resumed smoking after the 9/11 incident as his stress levels increased. He should have just dealt with the stress and kept his health. Reading my book will help you save a life. Maybe you can pass on it's wisdom to save other lives too. If you practice the methods in my book, you will be virtually cancer proof your whole life. What a wonderful place to be.

Unique Content

Unique content is what separates my thesis on life extension from everybody elses. My book is about slowing your basal metabolic rate. This is what gives a body long life. Animal studies on everything from mice and rats to cats and monkeys have proven this scientifically. Certain things slow your metabolism. One is reducing your caloric intake. The other is sleep. The things that increase your metabolic rate include exercise, fever, growth hormone, and testosterone. Our basal metabolic rate slows with advancing age too. By 80 years old, it doesn't slow down much more. This is why people get fatter as they get older. They keep eating the same amount that they ate in their twenties and they use less and less of those calories and store more and more of them. The end product of all metabolism is released heat. If your metabolism runs slow, you feel colder as your body temperature will be slightly lower than normal. This is what you want. A slow metabolism will make you live longer. Name a single athlete who has lived ultra long?

The Gold Medal Life

Watching the Olympics, and seeing Michael Phelps win eight gold medals, makes me think of the people working on the Life Extension movement today. What I teach in my book, is a skill. Have you ever wondered how people achieve such extraordinary results in various areas of their lives? You're right, they studied it and worked at it. The lifestyle of americans today is a design of default. It is where we happened to end up as the product of our free market society. B.F. Skinner thought our lives should be socially engineered for us, as people do not make the optimal choices themselves and choose unconsciously what has been conditioned into their behavioral patterns by the environment and the people around them. How many children do you see protesting at McDonald's that the food is too fatty and it is initiating the ground bed for arteriosclerosis to appear in their veins later in their lives? I personally have never seen one.
So with a little knowledge, skill, and ability, you can live decades longer than you ever before imagined. Jeanne Calment made it to 122. One hundred and fifty years old is like running the four minute mile. Once it has been achieved, it will be a realistic goal to shoot for. The four minute mile was considered physically impossible for a human being, until Roger Bannister ran it in less than four minutes and shattered that limiting belief. Now all competitive runners finish the mile race in less than four minutes, and the fastest yet, is a 3:43 mile. Fully seventeen seconds faster than Roger's record. He would probably not even qualify for today's Olympic mile race. So we have changed the paradigm. We have eliminated the limiting beliefs. We are ready to move forward with Real Life Extension. Laboratory animal studies and extrapolations show we can live for one hundred fifty to possibly one hundred eighty years. The champions of ultra long life are alive and well today, and are polishing their skills to break new records!

The Secret on Recommended Daily Allowances

Most of the anti-aging products today are based on vitamins and supplements. Guess what? They don't work. Your body carefully extracts the vitamins and minerals it needs from the food you eat and then it discharges the rest in your urine and stool. The Europeans laugh at us and say the Americans have the most expensive urine in the world. They are probably right, and here's why: The Recommended Daily Allowances for all vitamins and minerals and protein, fat, and carbohydrates, are based on a 45 day deficiency effect. This means you have to be eating a certain amount of Vitamin C, for example, each day to be able to go 45 days without any at all to avoid coming up with scurvy. If you are getting a little Vitamin C here and there, but not the full RDA everyday, then you still don't get scurvy. The British Navy figured this out centuries ago and they brought lime juice on board the ships to prevent the sailors from getting scurvy. As a result, they go the name "Limeys". The British called their longtime enemies, the French, "Froggies", because they like to eat frogs legs. I guess most mockery back then was based on diet.
Vitamins and supplements have nothing to do with anti-aging. If you take more vitamins, all you do is increase your bodies secretion rate of those vitamins. In my book, I show how even on a very low calorie diet, I get all the vitamins and minerals I need with some even being in excess.
Real anti-aging comes from slowing your metabolic rate. The clock cycles in our cells are regulated by our basal metabolism. This rate of metabolism can be speeded up or slowed down dramtically. I will show you how to slow your metabolism and live to our genetic lifespan potential of one hundred and fifty years. It really is possible.

WOW!

WOW! has been the predominant accolade from the people who have seen and read my book. Even my publisher said it is one of the top five most powerful books he has ever held in his hands. Other compliments include that I look the same as I did twenty years ago, which is consistent with many of my clients asking me why I don't age, or am I even old enough yet to be a good doctor. At age fifty, I am rewarded by these compliments every day.
This is a WOW! technology though, and everyone should have it. Great people like Tim Russert and my mother would be with us today if they had practiced my techniques. This is a knowledge applicable to all people. We are currently averaging only half a life. Seventy five years may be better than it was a hndred years ago, but we can now look to one hundred years and beyond as the expectation level for our lifetimes. Think of the possibilities. I know a man who still works full-time as a chemist and he is one hundred and five years old. I know other men in their nineties that are as fit and active as any sixty year old. I have a hard time believing I am fifty now because every time I look in the mirror, I see a young man. I'm glad I made the choice to practice the life extension lifestyle I learned of when I was twenty. It has paid off!

A Compelling Future

Do you think you live by design or default? I ask people this question often to see where they are in terms of reality. Most people answer this question by saying they live by design. Then I ask if being forty pounds overweight and working as a housekeeper was the vision they had for their lives as a child when they reached the age of fifty. I more often don't want to hurt people's feelings, so I usually just take their answer that they are living by design and leave it at that. A few people realize though that they are living more by default and that the dreams of their lives have not yet materialized. This is a better palce to be than saying your life is by design when truly it isn't.
When I was a boy, in the sixties, the future was compelling and we couldn't get enough of it. We put a man on the moon and everything was possible. That is still true today, but our culture doesn't hold the same spirit of optimism that it had back then. I want to share with you that the future is bright and that their is no better time to be alive than now. The champions of truth and the holders of great vision are still here and you can join with them to make for all of us a compelling future.
That future includes very long lives. We can easily make a hundred the average lifespan, and with a little more effort, make one hundred and fifty years a real possibility for some. It's time to live in this new paradigm of thinking. The old solutions have become the new problems. A rich source of abundant nutritious food was the problem in the first part of the nineteen hundreds. They didn't have enough food back then. The problem in this new century is our rich source of abundant food. We have too much of it now. The side effects of obesity cause our three top killers. Heart disease, cancer, and stroke. Diabetes and arthritis are also caused by being overweight. We can change all this in an instant if we choose to. My technologies are easy to master and the brightest and most compelling future can be here right now for those who choose to be part of it.

Calories and Cancer

Each of us is a phenotype. This means you are a product of your genes and your environment. The genes do not stand alone to define who you are. If you had gown up in a different country, with a different diet and culture, you would look and act differently than the person you are today. Thus, our genes do not define us. In animal studies, even the mice that had the genes for mammary cancer, did not get mammary cancer when they were on a calorie correct diet. The expression of those genes was suppressed. Excessive calories is the cause of most cancers today. The calories increase hormones such as insulin-like growth hormone and tell your cells to grow. This is not a good thing if you are already an adult. Over growth of cells is cancer.
Fat is also a co-carcinogen. It is not a carcinogen in itself, but it links with many elements that are. Long lived friends of mine in my home town in New Hampshire tell me cancer has been on the rise for as far back as they can remember, so has obesity. The two are integrally related. Fat is an endocrine mass, which means it sends out hormones into your body that give chemical messages to your cells. That message is grow and use more energy. This is where cancer and a faster metabolism occur. My methodologies slow your metabolism and make you nearly cancer proof. Again, the mice who had the genes for cancer went ninety five percent free of cancer while they were on the diet. If they went off of it, they got cancer. What is particularly helpful in my book is the techniques of following a calorie correct diet. This makes it easy for you to do. This is a skill, and as I have mentioned in my writings, if a model can do it, you can too. You will look and feel your best too!

Readiness To Change Scale

One interesting question I learned to ask patients before starting any treatment plan was, "Where do you feel you are on a Readiness To Change Scale that goes from one to ten?" If a person is not ready to change, they are not going to. My fellow physicians got very frustrated by this fact. Patient compliance to treatment plans runs around fifty percent. That means half the people a Doctor sees do not follow his advice and take their medications as directed. Pretty grim results, right? I found though, by asking first, I got a far higher rate of compliance. You can't force issues with people, so it is better to wait until they decide they are ready to go with you. This is especially true with dieting and weight loss. Most people fail on diets, because they are not fully ready to make that change. It "feels" different to be thin. You also get treated differently because you are no longer in the overweight crowd. Most people are not ready for these subconscious changes, and are not even aware that they have to make them.
It is only because of our limiting beliefs that we do not make the best choices for our lives. Research goes on that could dramatically improve our lives, but the thoughts of our culture prevent us from implementing these new ideas. Things can often drift to go worse too. Childhood obesity is now being considered more often as a surgical problem. I personally think no child should never have their stomach surgically altered to manage their weight. If they have a weight problem, they and their families need psychological help and counselling to create a new lifestyle of eating that prevents them from being overweight. It is not the surgery that cures obesity. It is the fact that people throw up easily after the gastric bypass surgery that makes them eat a lot less and control their intake. The same results can be achieved by learning how to eat right, which few people know how to do.
So ask yourself where are you on the readiness to change scale? I know many people are pondering buying my book, but somehow they are afraid it might change them. Well, it will, but only for the better. I would say buy the book and read it. Then see how you feel afterwards. You may discover you are more ready to be healthy and long lived than you ever realized before!

Can You Really Live To 150 Years Old?

The question is, Can You Really Live To 150 Years Old? The honest, scientific, and encouraging answer is YES! Jeanne Calment of France made it to 122 and she wasn't even really trying. She did do certain things right though. She was not obese and ate the way the French people eat, which is very modestly. France is the only country I have visited that eats right. Their portions are small. You don't feel full after you eat out at a French Restaurant. In fact, I felt a little ripped off because you pay a high price in the restaurants for not a whole lot of food, but that's the American mindset. Our dinners here come on large oval platters. In France, they come on little plates that look like they don't have much on them. Before I knew of Jeanne Calment, if you had asked me to guess the country of the longest living person, I would have guessed France. To me it is obvious why.
So to make it to 150, you just have to do twenty percent better then Jeanne Calment did. Their is a large body of researchers and interested citizens who are working on beating Jeanne Calment's record. You will see that record broken in this century, and it is thought that the first person to live longer than 150 is alive and well today. So did Jeanne Calment have any other secrets? She did also live a stress free life. Her husband was wealthy, so she did not have to worry about money or working for a living. She also kept active and liked tennis and swimming for sports. She also had a fondness for chocolates and red wine, and it is reported that she smoked cigarettes until she was 117. It's different in France though. A fondness for chocolates means she enjoyed them modestly. In America, a fondness for chocolates means you eat the whole box in one sitting. When I was a boy, and a girl got a box of chocolates for Valentine's day, it meant she might have one of them a week as a special rememberence of the love of the one who gave them to her. Nowadays, a box of chocolates represents a high calorie one or two day binge fest on stuffing down chocolates. Times have changed.
Animal studies confirm and support the extrapolations of our 150 year lifespan potential. After a person reaches that age, the world will believe it's possible. Until then, those of us who already believe it are actively working on getting there every day.

Weight Loss Success and The Bimodal Mind

Weight loss success is apparently very elusive. The dieting industry touts a 97 percent failure rate and yet somehow their business is booming! No other business could ever fail this big and keep bringing in customers. I am going to share with you the secret to weight loss success. It requires an understanding of our bimodal mind. Our cerebral cortex is divided into two large halves. The interhemispheric fissure is the space between them and they are only connected by a thin band of nerve fibers called the corpus callosum. The two sides of our brain do communicate, but only somewhat and sometimes, and they don't even speak the same language.
So it is your left cerebral cortex that wants you to lose weight, because logically then, you will look your best and be your healthiest. It's so simple! To the left brain that is. To your right brain, which is the center of all your emotions and no verbal language skills, the idea of dieting looks terrifying. Your right brain thinks you will starve, or get some kind of deficiency disease, or you will feel the pain of hunger every day. Your "unconscious" right brain says no to dieting.
So how do we overcome this challenge of the battle within? It takes a specific form of self-talk that you can train yourself to do. First understand that the right brain does not comprehend negatives. It functions only on positive intent and only understands positive words coming in from the left brain. So if you say to yourself, "I don't want to be a Fat Pig!", your right brain just received the message, "I _want to be a Fat Pig!" It doesn't understand the word don't. See the difficulties this can bring? When ever you speak to yourself then, only use positive words and instructions. Good Examples are "This salad tastes great" "I feel wonderful eating right" "My body feels perfect being so slim" It takes some practice, but you can do it. In my book I describe how the entire success of our diets depends on our emotions. Once you learn the techniques, you will become a master of fitness!

2048 and All Overweight

Researchers conducting studies on obesity have just projected that by 2048 All Americans will be overweight or obese. What they are not looking at is the fact that no tree grows to the sky. All projections of growth follow an "S Curve" and level off after a rapid period of growth. This does not mean we shouldn't be concerned. We should! Overweight and obese body sizes are what is killing most of us today. In my medical studies, I learned of the formation of atheromas in our blood vessels. This is what killed Tim Russert. Only 58 years old and losing his life to a tiny clog of fat and endothelial cells within one of his coronary arteries. What a shame. This process is inevitable though if you carry excess weight in your body. The body stores fat in a very generalized pattern throughout our tissues. Even your fingers get fatter as you gain weight. Fat fingers are okay, but fat filled blood vessels are not. Other cells, like our macrophages, line along the inside of our arteries and veins where they feed on fat and cholesterol globules that flow with our blood. Our macrophages should be scouring our bodies for bacteria and dead cells which is there main diet, but they will take an easy meal of fat when it comes along. Full on fat, the macrophages actually hide in the lining of our blood vessels and become foam cells, because they look foamy after they get so full of fat, and they cease in their role of disease fighting and become useless. With our immune cells disabled by fat, infections and cancers can proliferate. This is not what you want. In my book, I recommend a very low fat lifestyle of eating. Less than ten percent of your calories should came from fat, and I emphasize that the less fat you eat, the healthier you get. People worry so much that they are not getting enough fat in their diets. The people who worry the most about getting enough fat are usually the heaviest. Within my book are the methods and techniques to live dramatically longer and without disease. When you know how our bodies work, you can work with them to achieve incredible health and great longevity.

Life Extension and Neurophysiology

The subtitle of my book is How to Use Your Neurophysiology to Live 150 Years! The physiology part of this is the easiest. We were made to last that long. Genetically, we have this span of time within us, perhaps even longer. Some extrapolated animal studies suggest even 180 years might be our theoretical limit. So how do we tap into this incredible potential? First, you have to read my book. Then you will learn of the techniques that result in a slowing of your metabolism. Most people are delighted to find out that they no longer have to spend two hours at the gym each day. Jeanne Calment, of France, who lived to be 122 years old, certainly wasn't a member of Balley's or 24 hour fitness. In fact she never belonged to any gym.
People ask me if they will feel like they're running slower. The answer is you won't, and in fact you'll feel better than you ever have before! What you will change in your metabolism is the futile cycles that burn excess energy when you are above ideal weight. I observed many obese clients sweating as they entered my office from just walking up the sidewalk and stairs to the front door. Their bodies were wasting most of their energy managing their excessive stores of energy and leaving little left for getting around and having fun. Their sweating occurred because their metabolic rate was high and they were burning energy fast. You can only burn so many calories though, and not burning all those calories is even better for you. So, all the answers are within the pages of this fascinating book. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it.

Reverse Aging

Can aging be reversed? Certainly the diseases of aging can be and you can dramatically slow your rate of aging, as I describe in my book. Mankind has long searched for the fountain of youth. To be slim and trim and young and healthy is a universal desire for us all. What is more exciting than seeing a fit person with sexy six pack abs? The problem is we live in a misinfomation age. Mark Twain said a hundred years ago, "If you don't read the newspaper, you are uninformed, if you do read it , then you are misinformed." Our challenge in the information age is getting the right information and not something that is sold to us by self serving businesses, especially the food industry and the fitness gym corporations.
Active diseases like arteriosclerosis, type II diabetes, arthritis, most cancers, hypertension, and many others can be treated with weight loss alone. The key is knowing the right methods to achieve these changes. Emotional funneling is the problem most people have with any diet program. They simply incorrectly identify their various feelings and moods as hunger. In my book, I teach you how to differentiate your feelings and acknowledge them to express them correctly versus stuffing them down with food. Once you know and practice my methods, you stay at ideal weight, your metabolism slows, and your rate of aging does too. If you have a medical condition, it will most likely resolve as you move forward through my program. We are made to live a life free of disease and only rarely if ever use a medication.
My book is about the highest standards of health, reversing aging, and designing for yourself a compelling future. The science is all in. Learn of the studies that prove real life extension is possible today. I look forward to hearing from you.

Slow Metabolism or Fast Metabolism?

The problem with weight loss is that many people believe they have a slow metabolism. The truth is, most people have a fast metabolism. Especially over weight and obese people. This is why fat people are always sweating and get overheated with even the slightest exertion. The resting metabolism of an obese person can be twice that of an ideal weight person. A normal weight person burns one hundred calories per mile when they are walking. An obese person burns two hundred calories per mile. The same goes with sedentary tasks. Even sitting and watching television can cost a heavy person twice as many calories as a slim one. The thesis of my book is I can show you how to slow your metabolism. This is what you want. A slow metabolism creates a long life. The giant turtles of the galapagos islands live to 150, just like we are made to, but do you see them doing two hours of cardio workout per day, and eating more to speed up their metabolism? Of course not. Unfortunately, we are "sold" on this popular idea of keeping your metabolic rate high, by the 24 hour fitness gyms and we are told more and more calories need to be "burned" versus not used at all, which is what true life extension is all about.
