Each of us is a phenotype. This means you are a product of your genes and your environment. The genes do not stand alone to define who you are. If you had gown up in a different country, with a different diet and culture, you would look and act differently than the person you are today. Thus, our genes do not define us. In animal studies, even the mice that had the genes for mammary cancer, did not get mammary cancer when they were on a calorie correct diet. The expression of those genes was suppressed. Excessive calories is the cause of most cancers today. The calories increase hormones such as insulin-like growth hormone and tell your cells to grow. This is not a good thing if you are already an adult. Over growth of cells is cancer.
Fat is also a co-carcinogen. It is not a carcinogen in itself, but it links with many elements that are. Long lived friends of mine in my home town in New Hampshire tell me cancer has been on the rise for as far back as they can remember, so has obesity. The two are integrally related. Fat is an endocrine mass, which means it sends out hormones into your body that give chemical messages to your cells. That message is grow and use more energy. This is where cancer and a faster metabolism occur. My methodologies slow your metabolism and make you nearly cancer proof. Again, the mice who had the genes for cancer went ninety five percent free of cancer while they were on the diet. If they went off of it, they got cancer. What is particularly helpful in my book is the techniques of following a calorie correct diet. This makes it easy for you to do. This is a skill, and as I have mentioned in my writings, if a model can do it, you can too. You will look and feel your best too!
